KilnRun in your AI assistant

KilnRun runs a public MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Connect it to an AI assistant and ask it to find a pottery studio, see its classes, workshop dates and supplies, and get the link to book. The assistant only reads what studios publish on the KilnRun marketplace. It never books, holds seats or pays for anything: you book and pay on KilnRun's booking page.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT can use MCP servers as custom connectors (apps) on the plans and workspaces where developer mode is available. In ChatGPT's settings, open Apps & Connectors, turn on developer mode in the advanced settings, then create a connector named KilnRun with the server URL above and no authentication. In a business workspace, an admin may need to allow custom connectors first. Menu names can differ between ChatGPT versions.

Claude

In Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app), open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, enter KilnRun as the name and the server URL above, and leave the OAuth fields empty. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds custom connectors for the organization. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http kilnrun https://api-production-7f93.up.railway.app/mcp.

Other assistants and tools

Any app or developer tool that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use the same URL. KilnRun is also described for AI assistants in llms.txt.

Try asking

  • “Find a pottery studio near Lake Stevens, WA with beginner wheel classes.”
  • “What paint-your-own-pottery workshops are on near Seattle this weekend? Give me the link to book two seats.”
  • “Which studios near me sell cone 6 glazes?”

For studios

Assistants see exactly what your public marketplace page shows — only the classes, workshops, store and services you choose to show in Marketplace settings. Bookings made from their links are ordinary guest bookings on your roster.
